We are an alternative to expensive private healthcare agencies. Despite offering the same competitive rates we do not charge the expensive agency fees and profits we make go directly back into the NHS. By partnering with us every time a locum works a shift though Doctors Direct money is saved for that Trust and the NHS.
Doctors Direct offer a tailored service to meet the specific needs of the locum market. Part of our service includes a dedicated team that are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In addition to this we have local onsite teams supporting trusts and locums at each of our partner trusts.
Through Bankshare® we offer neighbouring Trusts the option to join together and share their bank of substantively employed locums.
Through Direct Engagement, Trusts have greater transparency in costs and greater control over the supply process. Paying the workers directly also means the NHS has influence over Doctors’ rates of pay which could create a more regulated pay system.
We recognise that recruitment agencies do perform an imperative role by helping align the temporary workforce with demand to ensure safer staffing levels at Trusts can be met. Therefore our team are available to support recruitment agencies at our client Trusts, providing administrative and technical support.
