The NHS has long benefited from the dedication and expertise of Black healthcare professionals who have played and continue to play a vital role, from frontline workers to senior leadership roles.

Recognising their contributions, particularly in challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic, highlights the integral part they play in the health and well-being of communities across the UK.

Celebrating Black History Month allows us to reflect on the past, understand better the present, and advocate for greater diversity and equality in the future of healthcare, ensuring that the NHS remains inclusive and representative of all who work in it.
