Receptionist Day 2024

On Wednesday 8th May 2024, Receptionist Day gave us an opportunity to shine a light on our Receptionist Bank Members. 
  
We asked Karen Howes, a Receptionist and Admin Assistant based at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Trust, what inspired her to be a Receptionist for the NHS, and she said: “Following retirement as a Medical Secretary, I wanted to go back to my roots where I enjoyed meeting and talking to people in a front facing role.” 
  
Alongside Karen, 164 other Receptionists work as Bank Members across our NHS Trusts supporting patients, their Trust, and the NHS on a daily basis.
