Doctors Appraisal and Revalidation

Do you need to review your GMC Designated Body connection? 

As you may be aware, it is important that doctors are connected to the appropriate GMC Designated Body to ensure the correct support can be provided for your annual appraisal and revalidation.  

If you are working as a locum and the majority of your sessions are with NHS Professionals, you can request a connection to NHSP and our Responsible Officer, Dr Helen McGill. 

However, if you have recently started a training programme (NHSE) or have accepted a substantive/permanent position at a Trust, you will need to ensure your GMC connection is updated to that organisation . 

You can update your connection using your GMC online account, and selecting ‘My Revalidation’ from the menu on the left. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your connection, appraisal or revalidation please contact our dedicated team at DoctorsRevalidation@NHSProfessionals.nhs.uk.
