Shift Booking Etiquette
- Only book the shifts you intend to work. By booking a shift or assignment with NHSP, you are agreeing that you are available to work. Shifts should only be booked once you have confirmed your availability.
- Shifts cannot be held or reserved for other members. You must not book a shift on behalf of your colleagues. If it is found that you have been blocking shifts to cancel and release for other colleagues to pick up, then you will be blocked from booking further shifts via NHS Professionals for a period of 2 weeks. Repeat offenders could find themselves permanently blocked from working within the Trust.
- Shift cancellation We are aware that on occasion, emergencies, or situations out of your control may occur. If you are unable to attend a shift, please provide as much notice as possible and cancel via your My:Bank profile so that the Trusts can maintain safe staffing levels. If you cancel a shift less than 12 hours before the shift starts, you may get a Short Notice Cancellation (SNC) and be contacted by our Bank Member HR team.
