DBS Certificate & Update Service
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, DBS certificates were issued by the DBS authority under the ‘Covid 19 Fast Track’ service. This meant that any Bank Members who wished to subscribe their DBS certificate to the Update service or add the certificate to their current subscription, were not able to do so.
The ‘Covid 19 Fast Track’ service has recently ended following instruction from the Government. Since the 11th May 2023, all DBS applications submitted to the DBS Authority by NHSP (countersigned) have reverted to pre-pandemic processes and are now eligible to be subscribed to the Update Service.
Signing up to the Update Service means that next year, you will not need to show us any documents other than your previous DBS certificate. This means we can carry out an instant online check of your DBS status. This makes the process quick and easy. Plus, it only costs £13 a year.
