What does the NHS mean to you? AHP winner

In the last edition of the Digest, we asked you to fill in a short survey telling us what the NHS means to you. Everyone that responded had the chance to win one of 5, £20 Amazon e-Vouchers.

We are pleased to share the winning entry from our Allied Health Professionals staff group:

“The NHS means everything to me. I have worked for the NHS for 39 years. I consider my work colleagues friends; we are such a close-knit team seeing each other through highs and lows. It gives me a sense of fulfilment knowing that I am doing all I can to make the patients journeys as smooth and ‘enjoyable’ as possible.

When a patient thanks me for making them feel relaxed and safe, it means the world to me. The NHS is a fantastic institution, envied and not matched by any other country. I am proud to say that I am a Cardiac Physiologist working for the NHS.”
