PLEASE READ: Thank you for your interest in working at NHS Nightingale hospitals. Please note that all Nightingale hospitals have now been put on standby. As such, this means we are not currently taking applications for any Nightingale site. We will update our website and social media channels if the situation changes.
Located in the heart of Manchester, at the Manchester Central conference centre – formerly known as G-MEX – the NHS Nightingale Hospital North West is a key facility in the region’s response to Covid-19. The new hospital is part of the huge NHS mobilisation plan to deal with the growing number of Covid-19 cases.
To apply for one of the roles available at the Nightingale in Manchester, please apply through our Join Bank page here.
PLEASE NOTE: To work in this site, you need to be able commit to a minimum of 4 weeks.
At this brand new hospital, we have strong clinical leadership to support staff to do their job. It is really important to us that we look after the people that have put themselves forward to work in this hospital. We will provide all our team with the appropriate protective equipment and will also be operating staff testing to keep our people safe and reduce the risk of spreading the virus.
Please note: this will be a highly challenging working environment, and it won’t be suitable for everyone. We will support you to draw on your resilience and that of your colleagues too.
Looking after your health and wellbeing is a top priority and has shaped how we built the site. All staff will receive a full induction that has been created specifically for NHS Nightingale Hospital North West.
The hospital has up to 750 beds for patients. It will provide care for those who no longer need to be in a critical care environment. It will also link closely to community health and social care services, as well as the hospitals across the North West region.
We are currently accepting applications and have immediate availability for the following:
As part of taking on any of the above roles, training will be provided, as well as hotel accommodation (subject to criteria, e.g. to mitigate the need for work travel and to protect vulnerable groups), parking, and meal provision as appropriate. You will also be provided with uniforms and ID.
We will be looking to expand the range of healthcare professionals we are recruiting for this centre in the near future.
If you live in one of these regions, and can commit to working at this hospital for at least 4 weeks as above, we would love to hear from you:
