Award Winning Innovation from NHS Professionals
NHS Professionals are thrilled to have won the TIARA Recruitment Award for Innovation!
This accolade recognises the incredible effort of our teams to build an organisation-wide transformation project, which resulted in NHS Professionals (NHSP) mobilising a new Rapid Response service to recruit and onboard healthcare professionals to meet the increased staffing demands for the NHS during the Covid-19 pandemic – a huge challenge. Within ten days, we designed, tested and launched a brand-new recruitment solution, accompanied by a full multi-channel marketing campaign. Our Rapid Response service enabled candidates to register, complete compliance/onboarding, and be work-ready in under 48 hours.
The whole organisation worked with one mission: to help our NHS save lives and look after the nation. We reinvented our technology and processes, from concept to solution, to bring in a new workforce to fight the virus. We found new and quicker ways to do things with a determined and focussed mindset.
As a result, 60,000 healthcare professionals stepped forward, with over 20,000 joining to be part of the NHSP family. We made the service available, not only to our client Trusts, but it was also possible for all other NHS Trusts in England to access a new workforce when it was most important to them. We worked at extreme pace to pivot our organisation to support all of this.
Each of this year’s finalist entries at the TIARA Recruitment Awards was reviewed by an independent panel of judges to determine the overall winner. Speaking about NHS Professionals entry, the judges said:
